Summary

OMP sought a tool for tracking and managing property projects. The objective was to design and build a digital product that helps the team manage the progress of project development and track issues in facilities management.

Allowing awarding bodies to create online graph and chart based questions.

Summary

Surpass sought to update the Flash version of the Graph & Chart question types. The existing Flash based questions where no longer supported on browsers.

Awarding bodies where no longer able to create chart and graph based questions for their clients. Design and build a html tool that allowed awarding bodies to craft questions with charts and graphs for online tests.

Graphing and chart componenent for item authors and candidates was integrated into one component to reduce development costs.

2019-2021 (18 Months)

Helping the Welsh Government create national adaptive online tests for 7 to 13 year olds.

Summary

In Wales, all children aged 7 to 14 take national, formative assessments in procedural numeracy, reading and numerical reasoning.

The new adaptive assessments automatically adjust the level of questions to match the learner taking the assessment, providing a personalised assessment experience and tailoring the level of challenge.

Outcomes

Over 2 million Welsh assessment have been sat.
Simplyfying a busy candidate interface experience.
Candidate test are accessibility WCAG 2.1 conformant.
Teachers can generate reports to track the progress of learners.
Hint questions functionality helps authors create questions that identify exact learner knowledge.

Converting club shop desktop website to be responsive.

2013-2014 (Project duration: 3 months)

An independent, family-owned jewellers since 1897.

Summary

Berry's Jewellers wanted a tool that allowed customers to select a dimaond, a diamond mount and ring mental of their choice.

Customers where able to choose from a large selection of diamonds and filter by colour, clarity, cut, carat and price range. Then, choose a ring mount and ring metal to complete the order process. Berry's would then build the ring to order.

Outcomes

New customers using the site and discovering the Berry's brand.
Higher order values and increased revenues accross the site.

2012-2015 (Project duration: 6 months)

Putting the environment and sustainability on the global agenda.

Summary

TVE a not-for-profit organisation which works with filmmakers and partners worldwide to make and distribute films, that put the environment and sustainability on the global agenda.

My role was to project manage, complete a design overhaul and build the new website. Working with TVE I developed a grid system that helped deliver a consistent layout across the site.

Outcomes

Increase in user traffic.
Increase in film orders and distribution deals.
Improved content and mobile device friendly.
